Ive tried this several times, weeks apart, and had the same issue. It will start up and take me to the main menu, but does not allow me to click on anything to start the game.

The TV screen doesn't effect me the same as my laptop screen for whatever reason, so I made it work. Because of this, I got into the habit of playing on my main television by just plugging my laptop into it via HDMI. I literally can't play on my laptop without getting sick (this goes for most games/software, not just Stellaris). For whatever reason, the screen of my laptop gives me intense migraines, regardless of what display settings I use (tried using blue light filters/night time light settings, among other things without any luck). As the title says, the game refuses to run unless i plug into a separate monitor.Ī bit of background: i began playing this game on my laptop with no issues originally.
